Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple grated (about 1 medium apple, peeled and grated)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsps ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp butter melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and a pinch of salt. Set it aside—it’s the perfect blend of cozy spices!
  • In a smaller bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with butter or cooking spray. You’re ready to make some pancake magic!
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix—some lumps in the batter are totally okay. Fold in the grated apple for that extra burst of flavor.
  • Scoop about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Let them cook until tiny bubbles form on top (about 2–3 minutes), then flip and cook the other side until beautifully golden.
  • Serve these warm, apple-spiced pancakes with your favorite syrup, and enjoy every bite!

Notes

Storing
Once your pancakes are cooked, let them cool completely. Transfer them to an airtight resealable bag and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. When you’re ready to enjoy them again, simply reheat in the microwave, pop them in the toaster, or warm them up in the oven at 350°F for a few minutes.
Freezing
Let the pancakes cool fully before placing them in an airtight, freezer-safe container. They’ll stay fresh for 1–2 months in the freezer. To reheat, use the microwave, toaster, or oven at 350°F—just a few minutes, and they’re ready to serve!
